 Metropolitan Police Fly Fishing Section End of Year Report

The Section League was fished over 7 matches as in previous years, 4 at Bewl Reservoir and 3 at Grafham Water, with the best 6 results to count. The format for the league competition will change for next year to the best 3 of 4 matches at the same venues, with the remaining dates for less competitive outings at those and other venues.

Mark Stewart had a superb start to the season at Bewl with an 8 fish bag for 25lb 6oz , which included the best fish of the season, a rainbow of 8lb 6oz. Mark went on to fish consistently throughout the season and ended up the winner of all the silverware at the close.

The section will be sending 4 (or 5) anglers to this years National Championships
