Winners of 2009 Region 3 Final : Derbyshire
(Winners, Derbyshire: Tony Ball, Phil Harding, Steve Shannon & Gary Mann).
This years event was on 21st May at Rutland Water. The fishing was exceptional and most people bagged up. Myself and my boat partner Roger Hubbard were the first two off the water with nearly 2 hrs to spare, however even with my 8 fish and time bonus I was no where near the top two. Derbyshire came out the winners with Leicestershire second, Lincolnshire 3rd and Northants 4th. The result was so close one fish could have changed the whole result. There were 12oz between the top two teams and not much more between the others.
