REGION 4 (Sec. Mick Cartlidge)

Winners of 2008 Region 4 Final  : West Midlands

The report for the West Midlands Region is as follows,

On the 28th of March 2009 we held the International Qualifier for the West Midlands Region at Formark Reservoir, A good event and every competitor caught fish,

The result was Mick Cartlidge from Staffordshire was the winner with a bag limit of 6 fish for 21lb plus bonus catching his limit in 3 hours.

In second place was Nigel Hill from Warwickshire with a bag limit of 12lb.14oz plus bonus, Nigel managing that in just 1hr 45mins. 

On the 23rd April 2009 we held our National qualifier at Draycote reservoir, Again all competitors caught fish and there were many bag limits, The team from Staffordshire managed to win the event, consisting of Mick Cartlidge, Terry Walford, Steve Billingham and John Goodwin.

The individual spots were decided by the smallest of weights 1 ounce divided the top 3 anglers, Neil Edkins (Warwickshire) with 8 fish for 29lb 6oz and Mick Cartlidge (Staffordshire)  and Nigel Hill (Warwickshire) both having equal weights of 29lb 5 oz, the second individual spot was given to Nigel Hill as Mick Cartlidge was in the qualifying Team.
