PSNI Rivers 2011
Northern Ireland : River Championships
Seven anglers fished this competition on Wednesday 20th April 2011 on the River Lagan.
All were guided by local anglers, who acted as officials to measure and count the fish caught.
A total of 7 rods participated in the event, 88 trout were caught all around 1lb mark.
Winner on the day was Fergus Auld with 30 fish, second was Stevie our Secretary with 18 fish, third Gary Smith with 15 fish and fourth, Jim Kennedy with 13 fish.
As such Fergus Auld and Jim Kennedy have been selected to represent Northern Ireland in the river championships on the River Teign, Devon in June this year, joining Barry Daniel and Gary Smith.
The top four rods from this event have qualified to fish the River Dee (Wales) in 2012.
