Winners of 2008 Region 2 Final  : North Yorkshire A Team     

Competition held at Eyebrook on 120608.
45 anglers fished (10 teams x 4 & 5 individuals) representing Cleveland (2 teams), North Yorks (2 team), South Yorks (1 team), West Yorks (1 team) & Northumbria (4 teams)
55 fish were caught - total weight 120lb 11oz - 24 rods blanked
Heaviest bag - 8 fish Bob Seeber  - North Yorks 'A'  17lb 5 oz (plus 6lb bonus weight!)
Runner up - 7 fish Gordon Elphee -West Yorks 16lb 2oz
Heaviest fish Jim Dawson North Yorks 'B' Rainbow 4lb
Winning Team - North Yorks A 18 fish 44lb 14oz
Runners up West Yorks 9 fish 20lb 7oz 

(Bob & Gordon were sharing a boat together and successfully bashed a shoal of stockies that were put in as we fished!!!!!!)

Next years event to be fished at Eyebrook on 11/06/09 - to be confirmed but one thing for sure is that there won’t be a stocking during the match !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (no it's not sour grapes - I just couldn't catch them)

I would expect North Yorks to submit a team of 4 with Bob Seeber fishing as an individual but this has yet to be confirmed because they are having problems financing their section for such events!!
